CONSTRUCTION BEGINS ON BELK FASHION DEPARTMENT STORE AT THE PAVILION AT PORT ORANGE IN PORT ORANGE, FL


CHATTANOOGA, TN. and AMHERST, NY (July 17, 2009) –CBL & Associates Properties, Inc. (NYSE: CBL) and The Benchmark Group today announced the start of construction on a new 74,000-square-foot Belk fashion department store at The Pavilion at Port Orange in Port Orange, FL.  The 550,000-square-foot-open-air-development will also be anchored by a state-of-the-art 14-screen Hollywood Theater, with junior anchors Marshall’s, Michaels, Homegoods, ULTA and PETCO.  Additionally, The Pavilion at Port Orange will feature a wide selection of specialty retailers and restaurants including AT&T Mobility, Cold Stone Creamery, David’s Bridal, Olive Garden, Pebble Beach Grill, Rack Room Shoes, Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, Visionworks and more.  Hollywood Theater will open at The Pavilion at Port Orange in fall 2009.  Belk along with the remaining retail and restaurant line-up is scheduled to celebrate a grand opening in spring 2010.

The new Belk at The Pavilion at Port Orange will showcase leading designer and national brands such as Estée Lauder, Clinique, Lancôme, Ralph Lauren, Liz Claiborne, Rafaella, Bandolino, Izod, Nautica and Columbia. Additionally, the store’s exclusive lines of Belk private brands, such as Kristin Davis, New Directions (ND), Kim Rogers, Madison Studio, Meeting Street, Red Camel, Biltmore For Your Home and Home Accents, provide outstanding fashion and value to Belk shoppers.
